Inspiring the Garment Industry at Avantex 2009

Fibretronic once again participated in the world's largest trade show for smart fabric and wearable electronic technologies by exhibiting at Avantex/Techtextil in June 2009. The show, held biannually in Frankfurt Germany, attracts trade visitors from around the world who are seeking the latest innovations in garment and textile related technologies.

Avantex 2009

Fibretronic showcased the very latest technologies for wearables including the CONNECTEDwear range of audio control products, the I-Lume range of LED lighting systems and HEATwear a new heated fabric technology.

"We were delighted by the response we got to our products from such a wide range of garment and luggage manufacturers. It clearly shows that we are leading the technology direction in this rapidly expanding sector of the garment industry" commented Isaac Man, General Manager of Fibretronic (pictured).

Steve Leftly, Fibretronic CEO, presented a paper at the Avantex Symposium looking at the commercial realities of the wearable electronics market.

Despite the tough economic climate, the mood amongst visitors and exhibitors in the wearable electronics sector appeared positive and buoyant. The combined Techtextil/Avantex show attracted record numbers this year with more than 23,000 visitors from 80 countries.
